I dragged the family down to park run today, mainly so they could enjoy the cakes. As is becoming a habit I decide to ditch the shoes before the run.
I'm not particular motivated to push and I trundle around in a pretty uneventful run. Half way round I see a guy in some Vibram 5 fingers and we briefly chat barefoot. He is new to this game but starting to appreciate the benefits.
No one to race at the finish, but I pick up the pace for a final burst.
At the finish I feel strangely disappointed with the time. I need to remember than running mileage doesn't necessarily make you fast.
